Metamend Ltd. a world leader in SEO technology signs agreements with global e-business leaders Miva Corp and Multiactive Corp. Earns birth on Team Canada’s International Trade Missions.“E-business revenue is expected to exceed 1.3 Trillion by 2003. With so much at stake, businesses are rightly concerned that their Web Sites aren’t providing them with the sales they had expected. It’s vitally important for firms doing business on the Web and, for the consumers wanting to do business with them, that they can connect with each other easily, quickly and efficiently.” Richard Zwicky, CEO Metamend Ltd.Victoria BC, November 7, 2001: E-business revenue is expected to exceed 1.3 Trillion by 2003 making it a vitally important component of the global economy. 83 million people will buy online by 2003. Growth rates of 150 percent, up from 72 percent, are forecast for 2000 and 138 percent for 2001 as online buyers rely on the Internet for a wider range of goods and services. SEO (search engine optimization) products are a vital part of making this important and rapidly growing sector of the economy work efficiently for both buyers and sellers. With so much at stake, many businesses are rightly concerned that their web sites aren’t providing them with the sales they had expected. Small business in Vancouver, or multi-national conglomerate, if potential customers can’t find the products and services their looking for on the Web easily and quickly, there is little or no chance of making a sale. Buyers, who make use of the Internet to locate goods and services can’t find most of the sellers they’re looking for. The situation is all the more alarming; when one takes into account that these customers are pre-qualified by virtue of the fact they’re searching for a particular product or service. Zwicky says the reason web sites aren’t delivering the sales they were expected to is astonishingly simple. The Search Engines don’t know the sites are there!” Metamend Software and Design Ltd. is gaining global recognition for its leadership in successfully developing and marketing products that direct qualified customers to business web sites, reliably, economically and automatically. “The bottom line?” Says Zwicky, “More qualified customers visiting your web site can result in more sales and business that use SEO technology to direct business their way can keep ahead of their competition. After all, isn’t that what they wanted a web site for in the first place?” Despite the events of September 11th, Metamend has experienced growth of over 30%, the company has signed significant contracts with world leaders in the software industry and the Victoria Company has been invited to participate as a member of the Team Canada Trade Delegation to the U.S. this month and to all subsequent missions. In September, a major agreement was signed with San Diego based Miva Corporation that recommends and promotes Metamend's Search Engine Optimization products to their entire client base. Miva Corporation is the world's leading supplier of e-commerce software and services to small and medium-sized businesses. In October, a joint marketing deal was also finalized with software giant Multiactive Corporation, the makers of "Maximizer" and other top-level e-commerce software. The Team Canada West Trade Mission will be led by Prime Minister Jean Chretien, joined by the Western Provincial Premiers and Territorial Leaders and, a cross-section of Canadian industry and business leaders. The delegation will visit Dallas and Los Angeles, November 27th to 30th, 2001. Metamend CEO Zwicky says “As a global leader in developing and marketing products that help qualified customers find the products and services they need on the Internet; taking part in the Team Canada Trade Missions is a tremendous opportunity for us to increase our market share and to represent British Columbia business worldwide.”
